Mancetter Parish Council is a non-political council with a maximum number of eight councillors. 

The current four year term of office ends in May 2027. 

Following an uncontested election on Thursday 4th May 2023, seven councillors were duly elected, leaving one parish councillor vacancy.

All parish councillors are volunteers, who are not members of other councils, and do not receive any payment for being part of the first tier of local government. They do not make decisions individually. 

Some councillors have taken on specific responsibilities which are detailed against their names. 

All members of the council have different interests, skills and experience.

Some still work, others are active members of community groups and each has a valuable contribution to make within sub groups and full council meetings.
